Melissa Bezar, Founder & NCTMB, ABMP
Melissa has been a massage therapist and bodyworker since 1993. Prior to receiving her basic massage training at Massage Arts Center in Philadelphia (MACP), Melissa completed a holistic studies program at Rosemont College that included a certification in fundamentals of nutrition and energetic bodywork techniques. Throughout her career, she has worked as a therapist in various settings on the east and west coast while continuing her studies in many philosophies of holistic healing.  Melissa is certified in Swedish massage, Reflexology, maternity and infant massage, Reiki, Therapeutic Touch and Touch for Health.  She has been an educator of massage and bodywork since 2000, teaching at the Rizzieri Institute in southern New Jersey and the Massage Arts Center of Philadelphia, where she acted as director of MACP’s community outreach program and student wellness clinic. Melissa has maintained a private practice since 1998 and is also practicing massage and bodywork at the Pottruck Health and Fitness Center at the University of Pennsylvania. 

Melissa's professionalism and attention to detail allows clients to feel completely nurtured in a private session or confident that their employees or guests will have a wonderful experience of total relaxation and rejuvenation. She encourages all her clients to consistently utilize a variety of holistic modalities and self-care techniques to achieve wellness and create overall balance in their lives.

 

Melissa is a Nationally Certified Therapist (NCTMB) and is a fully insured member of the Association for Bodywork and Massage Practitioners (ABMP).
